Artist's statement:

Hiking the dunes of the Provincelands is a world unto itself where the expanse of sky and sand stimulate creativity. The solitude and stillness that permeate for miles allows me to contemplate and record the beauty surrounding me.
Due to the vast space, the intense contrast of sky against sand is at first a deception to the subtle variations of color found within each. Wind carves the dunes with repetitions of shapes that delightfully translate into compositions. Observing new images is as endless as the dunes themselves.
